Carbon Fiber I-Beams
Carbon Fiber I-Beam is an I-beam made of carbon fiber composite material and its cross-section is shaped like the letter “I”. JCC carbon fiber I-beams combine the high strength, light weight and corrosion resistance of carbon fiber materials, making them ideal for many high-performance applications.
Main features:
Flange–Horizontal section parallel to each other at the top and bottom, which primarily bear bending stress.
Web: The vertical section connecting the flange and primarily bearing shear stress.
How to Design and Fabricate Composite Carbon Fiber I-Beams?
JCC carbon fiber I-beams are also called wide-flange beams or H-beams, are structural elements characterized by their I-shaped cross-section. They feature two horizontal flanges linked by a vertical web, creating a sturdy and efficient design for load-bearing purposes. Our carbon fiber I-beams are manufactured using a wet layup process and cured with the aid of a vacuum. When designing our composite carbon fiber I-beams, two layup methods are often used to optimize their properties. On the upper and lower flanges of the beam, 0/90 degree lamination may be used to provide high bending strength, while on the web part, 45 degree lamination may be used to enhance shear strength.
JCC Carbon Fiber I-beams Offer Various Advantages Compared with Traditional I-beams

JCC choose carbon fiber composite materials to manufacture the I-beams which provide superior strength and are much lighter than traditional materials such as steel or aluminum.

JCC carbon fiber I-beams are manufactured by two layup with 0/90 and 45 degree which develops the high bending strength and shear strength. It has properties of less material, large load capacity and no bending.

JCC carbon fiber I-beams have excellent fatigue resistance, meaning they can withstand repeated stress cycles without failure which guarantees it unparalleled fatigue resistance.

By adjusting the direction and type of the fibers, the performance of JCC carbon fiber I-beams can be tailored to provide a customized solution for a specific application if you need.
