What is the Roll Wrapped Carbon Fiber Tubes?
Roll wrapped carbon fiber tubes of JCC are generally larger in diameter and, due to their multiple alternated stacking layers of carbon fiber strip with resin preimpregnating, can produce tougher tubes that are particularly strong against squeezing and torsion.
We wrap carbon fiber material prepreg strips around a metal mold mandrel and then cure the tube with high heat. When the layers of fibers are layered onto the mandrel, it is oriented so that some layers of fibers are aligned at 0° along the length of the tube, but other fibers are aligned at 45° and 90°. Our roll wrapped carbon fiber tubes fabricated in this way are not as strong in length as pultruded pipes, but they are much stronger in other directions and therefore better able to resist crushing, breaking and torsional loads (twisting).

Generally speaking, our carbon fiber tubes are manufactured using the mold and our technicans will make the mold as your requirements which means the diameter is easy to control with low torlerence.
Please use a grinding wheel or a hacksaw with 32 teeth per inch to cut the roll wrapped carbon fiber tubes. Do not use band saws.
Our roll wrapped carbon fiber tubes are lightweight and better to resist crushing, breaking and torsional loads comparing the pultruded carbon tubes.
