How to make the combing honeycomb core with carbon fiber plate firmly adhere to each other?
We lay up two layer of carbon fiber fabric which is macerated with epoxy resin on both side of the honeycomb core. Then the panels are press cured, trimmed and post-cured. The contact area between the honeycomb core with the carbon fiber skin in the sandwich composite is very small,
If the bonding is not firmly, the skin can easily peel off from the honeycomb core, thus destroying the structural integrity of the honeycomb carbon fiber. Moreover, the honeycomb wall is very thin, and the honeycomb core and surface skin are not easily bonded. Correct bonding relies on the formation of high-quality fillets. Therefore, we optimize the manufacturing process and strictly control the quality, which can significantly improve the bonding strength between the honeycomb core and the carbon fiber skin, ensuring the structural integrity and long-term performance of the honeycomb carbon fiber composite sheet.
